GoFree WIFI-1 Module

GoFree WIFI1 Module is a wireless bridge which allows owners of compatible Simrad NSS, NSO Multifunction Displays, B&G Zeus & Zeus2 Touch and Lowrance HDS Gen2 series, to view data when utilised in conjunction with a wireless device. Go Free for Lowrance wif fi, Simrad wif fi, & B&G wi fi.

This low profile Wi-Fi gateway allows multiple tablets or smartphones to be used to view Simrad network data. The WIFI-1 connects to Multifunction Displays via Ethernet and supports wireless connectivity using 802.11 b+g wireless protocols. Note this is not for providing wifi in a marina.

A number of Multifunction Display units can be used with just one WIFI1 module, meaning that an entire system can be online with just the addition of one handy wireless gateway. Advanced Setup Details

Note: In order to work in conjunction with the WIFI-1 module, your Simrad NSS or Lowrance HDS Gen2 or B&G Zeus Touch Multifunction Display must be upgraded to software version Simrad NSS RTM 2.5, or HDS Gen2 V2.0. GoFree is not compatible with Lowrance HDS Gen1. A Gen1 on the same Ethernet network will cause the network to not function properly.

• GoFree Controller App (free download from Apple or Android Play app store) duplicates your Simrad NSS or Lowrance HDS Gen2 screen on your iPhone. It also allows you to view and control the NSS screen from your iPad, with the ability to change lighting levels, mark wayward points, set >Radar guard zones, access StructureScan, and much more.
• Share between multiple open source protocol to third party devices such as Mac and PC navigational software and iOS apps like iRegatta.
• NMEA0183 data is bridged from MFD to wifi, enabling connection to any app that features 0183 TCP/IP link including iRegatta, iNavx & MIDwifi
