CREE
A form of higher output LED lighting - brighter and more energy efficient than standard LEDs. The name originates from CREE, the original CREE LED manufacturing company based in North Carolina.
CREE refers to the LED light itself. A CREE LED combines highly efficient InGaN materials with proprietary G•SIC substrates to deliver superior price/performance for high-intensity LEDs.
CREE is different to LED in that:
- It delivers the same amount of light using as little as 10-15% of the power
- It lasts longer - designed to last up to 100,000 hrs (50 times the life of a typical incandescent bulb)
- It's made with superior materials and performance
- It looks more natural than a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) and matches the warmth of incandescents.
- It's designed with color modulation - choose between warm or cool lighting which makes everything look more vibrant and lifelike
