Any anglers in shallow fresh or salt water, who want to be able to quickly and quietly stop and position their Boat without scaring away any Fish, need to get their hands on the latest innovative Anchor from Minn Kota.

The new 12V Talon Electric Spike Anchor has a three stage deployment system taking the 1.46m ( 57.5") Anchor, to a maximum extension of 3.65m (12') without causing any damage to vegetation or the bottom.

Operated from the boat's existing battery by the control panel or wireless Remote Control (two are supplied along with a dash mount holder) which drives the Anchor into the bottom to Hold your position while you Fish. The electric motor enables the spike to drive into the earth without the disruption of a traditional Anchor. Four interchangeable modes assist in safely securing you, depending on the conditions:

• Anchor Mode -  allows you to choose the right amount of force for soft or hard bottoms
• Auto Drive Mode - powers the spike into the bottom with three increasingly aggressive hits
• Soft Bottom Mode - Makes it easier to retract the spike in soft salt or silting bottoms
• Rough Water Mode - Performs three auto drive modes for a triple strength hold
• Built in Wave Absorption allows the Boat to move up and down without effecting the Anchor, in rough waters
  

To gauge the depth of the deployed spike, the angler can simply glance at the unit’s LED indicator lights which display deployment in one-foot increments. When ready to move to the next location, Talon’s notification alarm warns users if they start their Outboard Engine while the spike is still deployed.

Mounting the Talon is as easy as mounting a trolling motor with the rugged Universal Modular Adapter Brackets which lets you configure Talon to the exact orientation you want. When not in use, the lightweight Talon Anchor can be taken off the Boat thanks to its minimal wiring and standard release bracket. Alternatively it can be folded away for garaging with the optional 30° tilt bracket.

Made from marine-grade extruded anodised aluminium, the Talon can withstand a harsh corrosive saltwater environment and the indestructible spike, made with fibreglass reinforced composite material, is guaranteed for life.
