Lowrance has released Version 3.5 software update for the Elite 5, Elite 5DSI, and Elite 5m operating system. All owners are recommended to install this upgrade by downloading it from the Lowrance website onto an micro SD Card. Note: The Card must be no larger than 2GB.

In keeping with the Lowrance tradition of adding new features during the life of the product, included in this upgrade are new features:

• The user now has access to a trip calculator page that displays Speed, Average speed, Max speed, Trip time, and Trip distance. This new page can be accessed via the System menu.
• Added data overlay options:
  • Trip calculator overlays
    • Average Speed
    • Trip Distance
    • Max Speed
    • Trip Time
• Time
  • Date
  • Time
  • Date (no year)
  • Time (no seconds)

   

• Added main Sonar adjustment options to the onscreen adjust menu. Sensitivity/Colorline/Noise rejection/Surface clarity/Ping speed

• Retains more complete Sonar history: Keeps deeper Sonar data that was previously not stored when operating in auto Range depth mode.

• General software and performance improvements

Any unit purchased from CH Smith Marine can be returned to us for a free upgrade while you wait. Units returned not in person will incur a return freight charge.
