Simrad RS40-B DSC VHF AIS-B Radio with GPS-500 Antenna brings all the tech and user friendliness the RS40 provides but upgrades to a Class-B AIS >Transmitter and Receiver to further increase your safety on board, effectively giving you similar functionality to having an RS40 VHF Radio and an NAIS-500 Class B AIS all in one box.
Simrad RS 40-B AIS VHF Radio provides all the features for safety and reliability that you could need, with full coverage of Australian, New Zealand, USA and International VHF Marine Channels. The Class-B AIS transmitter/receiver adds extra safety by monitoring nearby AIS equipped vessels making it easier to navigate crowded harbours and other waterways with heavy traffic.

- GPS 4 ways - integrated Receiver and face plate Antenna, SMA connector on rear, NMEA0183 and NMEA200 - ensures every chance you will get a GPS Fix in an emergency. NOTE: AIS regulations prohibit GPS data input from other GPS networked antennas, BUT the supplied GPS-500 Antenna can be used a GPS source for other products for both NMEA0183 and NMEA2000.

- HS40 Wireless handset option duplicates radio display and controls to give total freedom on your vessel. With multiple handsets connected (2 maximum), the RS40 doubles as a handy on-board intercom.
- Dual Channel AIS transmitter/receiver allows communication with nearby AIS equipped vessels and the information obtained can be shown on screen or overlaid on your Chart or >Radar screen through a linked compatible MFD
- AIS information updates every 30 seconds and includes:

- Silent AIS mode for when you're fishing and don't want everyone to know where you are
- NMEA2000 (requires network kit option) and NMEA 0183 Connectivity allowing GPS information via connected chartplotter and not needing an extra Antenna if you have one in the network already
- Remote microphone has 6 buttons for easy use and can be connected at the front or back and with an optional extension cable can be mounted quite a distance away, for example allowing you to overhead mount the radio with just the mic on your dash
- Track your Buddy allows you to track up to 5 friends (when connected to compatible Simrad MFD)
- Man Overboard function
