Lowrance have released details on their HDS Gen3 series coming soon in 2015: HDS7 Gen3, HDS9 Gen3 and HDS12 Gen3. Lowrance HDS Gen3 series will have built-in Pinch to zoom touch screens as well as keyboard control, StructureScan HD and DownScan imaging providing picture-like images, as well as CHIRP Sonar for improved Target Separation and superior Noise rejection. View both CHIRP Sonar and StructureScan HD at the same time to get the best possible view of Fish and structure, both below and to the side of your Boat.

Lowrance HDS Gen3 can also be combined with a Range of mapping options and >Trackback which allows you to >scroll back through your previous recordings to see anything which you may have missed. Lowrance HDS Gen3 series also features built-in wireless connectivity for integration with Insight Genesis, as well as connecting to your mobile devices through the Lowrance GoFree App and more apps soon to be released.

All HDS Gen3 models are also compatible with performance-enhancing options such as SpotlightScan Sonar, 3G & 4G >Broadband Radar, SonicHub Marine Audio, as well as the recently released SmartSteer control for MotorGuide Xi5 Trolling motors and outboard Autopilot steering.

You won't have to change your fitting as the Gen3's are sized to fit the same bracket and flush-mount cut out as HDS Gen2 Touch and uses the same blue plug Transducers and power cables as all previous HDS models. All devices include NMEA0183/2000 & Ethernet expandability options as well as engine interface cables or Lowrance data sensors for a professional-level system that is effortless-to-install and easy-to-use.
